Dating in the Digital Age: Romance without Rudeness

  • Parlor 286 Spring Street New York, NY 10013 USA (map)

On Thursday June 8th guested joined together at Parlor for a discussion about the best practices for getting the most out of digital dating. While websites such as Hinge, Bumble, Tinder, and OKCupid provide a limitless number of ways to find a date, we're witnessing an alarming decrease in common courtesy, with some finding it harder than before to find a real match. Modern practices such as ghosting, breadcrumbing, catfishing, and thirst-trapping have led to the emergence of the latest trend - self-marriages or sologamy.

Dating and relationship expert Andrea Syrtash and etiquette expert Thomas P. Farley provided solutions to finding matches with manners by answering audience questions about how to weed out the chumps, teases, and time-wasters, so that you can navigate the dating landscape with less frustration and more swipes right.
