ARTWALK NY brings together hundreds of artists, art-lovers, and other compassionate New Yorkers to celebrate the role of “artist-as-activist,” to raise awareness about the crisis of mass homelessness and to support programs that directly help homeless individuals and families. The vibrant live and silent auctions and lively cocktail reception have drawn crowds of prominent guests for over 25 years, and in 2024, features the works of over 50 influential and emerging artists.

This year, ARTWALK NY is thrilled to feature Annika Connor in the charity event, with her piece titled Shine (2022).

Annika Connor is a Brooklyn-based multifaceted artist, screenwriter, and SAG-AFTRA actor who embodies the spirit of a modern Renaissance woman. She is most known for her evocative watercolor and oil paintings. Connor's work is characterized by symbolism and vivid imagery that sparks the imagination.

A passionate activist and advocate for equality, Connor's paintings serve as a visual dialogue on various topics, from political commentary to explorations of beauty and nature. Her art often delves into narrative themes or explores current social issues by utilizing metaphorical imagery to provoke thoughts and challenge societal norms. Overall, Connor blends beauty and allegory to captivate viewers and create compelling and enigmatic storytelling.

ARTWALK NY will also honor Katherine Bradford as the 2024 Artist Honoree and Aileen Agopian for her philanthropic contributions to Coalition for the Homeless.
